Would you like to experience more joy and freedom in your life? In this five-week experiential workshop we will take a fresh look at prosperity (The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity), as presented in Edwene Gaines' delightful book, and explore the practical application of these principles in our lives. This class will go beyond "book study" and will involve the actual application of a variety of tools and approaches. Please purchase the book prior to the first class. Spiritual Cinema ~ Rumi - Poet of the Heart

Join with Spiritual Cinema on Friday, May 9th as we watch a film celebrating the life of the poet Rumi. This one hour film presents Coleman Barks, the preeminent contemporary translator of Rumi's poetry, in live performance and intimate conversation. Joining Coleman to celebrate the earthly, joyous, spiritual passion of Rumi's poetry are Robert Bly, Deepak Chopra, Michael Meade, Huston Smith and others. The movie is narrated by Debra Winger. Rumi - Poet of the Heart includes performances, readings, illustrations, music, footage of the whirling dervishes and much more - all woven together to serve as an introduction to Rumi and tell the story of Rumi's growing emergence in the west.

In honor of this wonderful poet, if you have a favorite Rumi poem, please bring it with you. We will read poems, have dessert and talk for the first half hour of the evening, and then present the film. See you there! (Note: This showing will be the wrap-up of the season. as we move into a summer hiatus and plan to resume Spiritual Cinema in the fall!)

The Gospel According to the Beatles

Few have seriously explored the religious crisis of the 60s and 70s and how the Beatles guided a whole generation on a spiritual magical mystical tour from marijuana to the Maharishi. The world was mesmerized and influenced by an ordinary Liverpool tavern band. The archetypal journey is chronicled in their lives and music. The effects of this socio-spiritual earthquake are still being experienced today.
This seminar will use visuals and musical selections to:
1. Expose you to a modern mythology in the making.
2. Create an emotional and soulful experience.
3. Explain how and why many of their songs were composed.
4. Explore the stages of spiritual growth in the Beatle's music.
5. Examine New Thought concepts found in the Beatle's mythology.
$10 suggested donation
Michael will also be presenting the message at the Sunday Service on May 18th: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, George and Ringo

Meditative Drumming Circle

Meditative Drumming is a way to connect inwardly with Spirit. In this circle we will learn a few simple rhythm patterns and repeat these patterns in a meditative way as a means to connect and open to Spirit to express Itself through our playing. Previous experience of drumming is not required, nor is a drum; simple percussion works just as well. There will be percussion to share. Suggested donation $5.
